Immersion as Experience


The user, the visitor, the viewer and the reader are the recipients of the narrative. It is worth noting that there is a real difference between the intake of storytelling from the receiver and the immersion in it. The engagement is a much deeper and more essential process that coincides with substantial experience. This experience has mainly subjective, specific nature and is derived from the feelings and correlations that are activated. Immersion and experience are two perspectives that ally and reinforce each other mutually. Immersion is a fundamental design strategy in our work, and the connection with the experience is our main objective. The quota of immersion of an individual in a given narrative setting shows not only the intensity of the experience and receptiveness, but also the extent to which it can lead him to a new experience. In a few words, it shows if our work has something different and new to offer or not.
