Tectonic Plates

A series of ceramic platters designed for a special event. When meetings happen, people come together in common grounds and match in food. We designed this set of serving plates in different shapes to create the table’s stage, the topography of a meal. The platters form items of the Peloponnese rural environment, citrus fruits, coniferous and hilltops presenting festively the simple stuff. Perceiving the table as a center sphere in which we seek our place, revolving around it, drawn by the gravity of food and company the Tectonic Plates is a system of surfaces arranging the receiving food and extending the ritual of serving and eating.
